Typically the SEC only embarrasses other SEC teams in the playoffs

But last night, 1 long time SEC team got embarrassed by the big 10, and 1 newcomer to the SEC got embarrassed by the pac 12. This is just shameful, especially since the universe threw enough breaks Bama’s way that would’ve put over half the SEC in the playoffs. Would they all have lost? Doubtful, but maybe. SEC pride my arse. I don’t want to hear that chant anymore. It’s too painful.
Do not get me wrong here. I still love Bama, will pull for them every time they don’t play LSU, because at the end of the day, I think the world of your legendary coach even when he’s washed up, and think even more of your educated, sophisticated, classy, albeit morbidly obese fan base, but this stings a lot. I’m deeply hurt. SEC pride was a big deal to a lot of us and we lost just about all of it last night.

i like to poke fun at bama and texas, but losing on the last play of the game is not embarrassing.
after week 2 we thought bama would be a three loss team minimum. what they did to bounce back is nothing short of a miracle.

That’s not a miracle. These are miracles:
1) Muffed punt against Auburn after they got blown out by NM State
2) 0.01% ESPN probability Hail Mary against Auburn
3) Jordan Travis season ending injury
4) Beating UGA with Milroe

He’s an LSU fan that wears other badges at times. That seems to be a trend around here.

Alabama lost, but they definitely did not get embarrassed. Thats idiotic.

This + a lot. What an insane narrative. Florida State got embarrassed. Alabama lost in OT to the #1 team. Makes zero sense.

I think it’s more the body of work and the strings Saban had to pull with the devil just to get them to the game. I’m less inclined to give leeway when a team blatantly did not deserve to be there in the first place. Better at least TRY to fool people into thinking you earned it.
