I appreciate it man but me and some friends are going camping for the break.
I will be around next year, although I hope it's my last. I need a job.

There really isn't any first rate fried chicken in BCS. Sorry.

Layne's or Cane's for fast food chicken strips are both pretty good, or there is supposed to be a new place on University called Rooster's that would be worth a try for real fried chicken, though I haven't been there.

BS you don't have any friends....

My brother and a couple of friends said Roosters was pretty good and for the price you pay you get a pretty large portion of food.

Sorry. TD has much higher standards than TA.

I'm sure discussion about fried chicken makes Chicken uncomfortable. What if we someone started a thread about fried human rump roast? I'd be offended.

Chicken Express is actually quite good, though it is something of a chain.

I left a longer response on the other thread but there are limited options in BCS because everyone has gone to wings or chicken fingers. I have heard of a place called Shannon's Cafe in Bryan that is a Soul Food restaurant but have not been there. They should be able to help with your craving though for traditional fried chicken.
The best in Texas though is Babes in Roanoke near Ft Worth.

Yea Pigimus, try Chicken Express. Great southern/Texan chain. And their sweet tea is said to be amazing.

Chicken Express is the correct answer. I can't get it in Galveston

Been there, and it's not bad as chains go. However I am looking for something a little more homemade. Have you guys been to Stover Brothers in Village Foods? It is pretty damn good for plate lunches.

I actually live pretty close to there. It just doesn't have the crust of really good chicken, but for sure the best in town. Their mashed potatoes are also of the instant variety and not great. I usually do Freebirds instead.

Believe it or not. The Kroger Deli at 6 and Rock Prairie has really good fried chicken.
