Burrow was going to score however many points necessary for LSU to win. I could say that if Stingley wasn’t looking at the sideline when the ball was snapped, one of smiths long tds wouldn’t have happened. So take 7 away from Bama there.

Technically no you weren’t. You were done after turnover 5.

Ole Miss also scored off of a fluke fake punt and also off of an Arkansas turnover. So honestly, Ole Miss still being down only 5 early in the fourth quarter was the actual fluke.

Turnovers have a lot to do with bad offensive play though, so being able to stay in the game when you commit a lot of them is impressive

Bama has the ball at the end of the game. Burrow was on the sideline. Instead of passing the ball to catch up Bama would have been in victory formation. LSU won the game when they recovered that fumble. One or two plays a game usually decides a ballgame and that play basically won the game for LSU.

They are forced. It’s not specific to them as fans from every team do it. But today every single Ole Miss post is along the lines up “we had 7 turnovers and were still close” As if these turnovers were just bad luck and just fell out of the sky. Fumbles can be a little more random(outside of like a strip sack) as usually it’s just a helmet popping the ball out. But interceptions are part of the game and means the defense made a play.

Arkansas wins and Arkansas fans are still finding things to melt about. Amazing

They didn't. Our 3* RB ran the ball down your throat and the clock ran out

Ended up being the deciding factor in that game.

I love my Bama football and I do believe Tua is a great talent. I know if we score there, which we seemed poised to do, we win IF everything else remains constant. But...

That was not the deciding factor in that game. It’s never just one thing.

But when Bama had the ball because they were behind they had to pass. If the points that was directly related to that one fumble was added and subtracted to both teams score then Bama would have tried to melt the clock when they had the ball and win the game. That’s my point that one strange goofy play changed the whole game. Instead of going up 7 points Bama had to play from behind all day. It set the tone.

What if the play with Stingley and Smith has not happened how it did? You could play that game all day.

So why is a common stat for QBs TD/Interception ratio? Not all quarterbacks play the same defenses. I would say most interceptions are on the quarterback.

You are missing the point. How many times in all the years you have watched football have you ever seen a fumble like that. Usually fumbles are caused by hits or bobbled snaps or handoffs. Hell a guys teammate can bump into him and cause one. How many times do you see a player at a skill position that handles the ball almost every play just be running along poised to score and all of a sudden just swing his arm and the ball flies out. And a player of the caliber of Tua no less. But that one play ended up setting the tone for the game and because it happened as strange as it was it also changed the way the end of the game was played.

Some are, some aren’t. Most of the time if a QB throws an INT it means he made a poor decision.

Some teams value the football more.

Some players cradle it better.

Some don’t throw into tight windows over and over.

If course, the defense deserves credit for creating turnovers, but the same amount of pressure to a MAC Jones will sometimes yield a TD instead of a Bo Nix pick six.

Amen. He can fumble, throw interceptions and hand it off to a defensive lineman.
