If Bama and OU get matched up in the playoffs, it could be the game of the ages. Tua and Murray are two of the best college QBs I've ever seen, and both have an outstanding supporting cast. To see them square off in a game like the semi, or final would be must-see TV.
So good luck against Texas, and here's hoping Bama can hold serve against UGA.

I mean, it is fair to add, Alabama has also played some wretched pass defenses. A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisville, The Citadel and ULL are really bad pass defenses.
I bet among those defenes you find double the NFL players OU has faced all year.

They scored 38 against our defense

Give it to Murray. He is doing more with less

Does it take into account Tua has not played in the 2nd half most of the season?

But I think if you switched them between bama and Oklahoma, numbers would be very similar. Murray/bama would be in same position and Tua would have better numbers bc he's playing all 4 qtrs.
Totally agree - and Murray is an awesome player. They'd both put up ridiculous numbers in either offense.
Honestly, it kind of sucks for both of them that it is happening in the same year because they are both having all-time good seasons.

I agree, but Does Tua sit the second half in most games with out that bama defense? Tua isn't out there keeping teams from scoring.
But I guess that's my point - the argument seems to be that it's added pressure or something. I look at it as a player as good as Murray or Tua just gets to keep going out and running the full offense and being awesome in that type of situation against, usually, bad defenses (Kansas, Texas Tech, etc).

He's got arguably the best OL in America and NFL wide receivers. People are talking about him like he plays at Kansas State

I'm not.
So you're saying Bama is significantly more talented than every other team in the country including OU?

I think Tua and Kyler are two of the best candidates in recent memory
Either would win in any other year if not paired with each other.
Kyler is unreal and think he has a legit shot next weekend.

Now do average pass defense played against.

On offense? I do think we are probably all around the most talented, but there are a lot of teams that have talent that isn't far behind - Oklahoma and Georgia are the 2 main ones. And Oklahoma has a beautiful offensive system run by a guy who is elite at calling plays.

What talent? Bama hasn’t played anyone including LSU, according to y’all.

how is that a knock on Murray? He has put up better (or equal) stats. He doesn't choose who he plays.

OU doesn't have SEC recruiting classes overall, but they do on offense. Hollywood Brown might be the best receiver in college football.

Yep, and their OL is very good and especially good for their system. It's pretty nuts they've been this good and Anderson has been out most of the year. Plug and play.

Courtesy of The Quiet One
It isn't just the 4th quarter.
quote:
TUA
Missed exactly 291:37 of game time due to being benched. That equates to 4 full games and 51:37 of another game, so just shy of 5 full games.
He led 101 of 147 of all possible drives, including kneeling to end halves/victory formations. That's 68.7% of Alabama's drives.
MURRAY
Missed exactly 79:50 of game time due to being benched. That equates to 1 full game and 19:50 of another game..or another quarter and change of game time.
He led 132 of 146 of all possible drives, including kneeling to end halves/victory formations. That's 90.4% of all drives.
BL: Tua put up his stats while playing 3 games and 31:47 of a fourth game LESS than Murray. IOW, Murray's basically played nearly 11 full games this season while Tua barely played 7 full games.
(Stats aren't the end all/be all of the Heisman, but for the sake of the stat-happy, here you go)
Stat comparison through 12 games:
Tua T.- 189 of 269, 70.3%, 3189 Yards, 36 TD, 2 INT, 212.5 Passer Rating, 45 rushes for 211 Yards, 4.7 YPC, 5 TD
Murray - 216 of 306, 70.6%, 3674 Yards, 37 TD, 7 INT, 206.8 Passer Rating, 113 rushes for 853 Yards, 7.5 YPC, 11 TD
It isn't just the 4th quarter.

looks pretty cut and dry to me

I couldn't agree more.
Tua CLEARLY is the most deserving Heisman winner since Cam.
