If you don't understand why anyone would like Ole Miss, you haven't visited. It's a really fun time with great people. You can play early in the SEC, you can be on national TV every week beating the elite programs in America, you can then go on to the NFL and become a super bowl MVP. We have a top 5 party school and attractive women folk everywhere. Oxford combines the music scene of Athens and the food scene of a Chapel Hill with the charm of a small Mississippi town. Why wouldn't you want to go there?

Ask yourself this question - Why did Tunsil commit to OleMiss w/out even setting foot on campus?
Are you this stupid? You do realize that some of the allegations in the NOA involve his visit prior to signing with Ole Miss.....so please be huge ignorant mentally challenged jackass that blindly regurgitates BS rumors that are posted the Internet.

I've been there many times.
It's fun you say? So is every other big college.
You can play early? Ok, but we are talking the caliber players that would likely play early regardless of where they went as well as being on national TV for any major program.
You can beat elite teams? OM was not beating elite programs at the time they signed that class.
You can then go on to be MVP in the Super Bowl? Once again, if you are good enough to do that in Oxford, you are good enough to do that anywhere.
Top 5 party school? Party schools are a dime a dozen. Partying at Oxford isn't really any different than partying anywhere else.
Attractive women folk? Every college campus has them and lots of them. OM women are not "more attractive" than any other major schools women. It's not like Mississippi is known for having hot women.
Music scene and food scene? Come on man. No top recruit is choosing a school because of that and what you mentioned is nice but not the only place that has similar are possibly better.
You are still viewing it through your red and blue colored glasses. I know you love your school and I admire your tenacity in your love for it, but to believe that you couldn't find all of those things at a historically better program is just nuts.

Look, I like OM almost as much as most OM fans, but this is probably one of those situations where you might have to accept that OM (or some boosters) got greedy and went for too much too quickly rather than develop their unprecedented success on the recruiting trail at a less-suspicious rate.
As for the question, one possibility that immediately springs to mind is that if he (or Tunsil's mom, which would amount to the same thing if they were married) got paid anything major, they certainly didn't report it, which means real-world troubles with the IRS. Smaller cash payments are easier to get away with.

Great post randomways... Why would Lindsay Miller want to draw the attention of the IRS? Small payments, lodging, meals, small cash payments, a utility bill here or there attracts little attention.

Are there two posters more obsessed with Ole Miss than you and V&S? Do you really think anyone is gonna read that wind bag wall of text?
Give it a rest.

We are all bored as hell. Thanks Rebels for providing an offseason diversion to help make these dog days of summer pass with some entertainment.

Also, if you qualify on the ACT, you get into school or you can get into om even if don't. Don't act like your school is on the up and up

Ash, you ask what Mississippi has to offer?
Well, we don't kill blacks by pointing a gun at his chest and yelling, "gun." Why was the cop letting Alton know he was going to kill him with a "gun?"
Or wear riot gear to arrest a lady in the street . . .

Haha so basically what i said is correct, you know this, and despite clear evidence that there are multiple reasons why Ole Miss/Oxford is a great place to go to college and play football, you remain rustled.
We're in your heads 24/7. You rush the field for upsetting Ole Miss. We've beaten you two of the past three years and this year will make it 3 of 4. I get your frustration. There's just simply nothing you can do about it. We're a better program than LSU. You've been passed.

You will never hear me say that Baton Rouge is a great place. It's not. LSU on the other hand may as well not be part of Baton Rouge. It's a night and day difference between the immediate area around LSU and the rest of Baton Rouge. You are also about an hour away from New Orleans and nothing in Mississippi can compare to New Orleans.
Don't for one second believe that Mississippi doesn't have its share racist POS cops.

Probably best for us -- and people from all the other SEC states -- to avoid racial politics pissing matches. Our history, and current state affairs, has way too much ugliness to play the moral or cultural superiority card on this particular issue.
