Is this the game that was tied until Auburn won on a walk off field goal?

False

We don't even get to play Oregon without Newton, imo...

Without Cam we are not in the game, but I think with the way the D played we would have won easily... we would have gone more power with Trotter at QB and a steady dose of Dyer...

You contradicted yourself.

She does that a lot.

Yes. But without Cam, Auburn doesn't even make the SEC Championship game.

so Auburn wins on a last second field goal with the best player in college football and people still think they could have won with their backup? Wow....I thought there were some delusional people before the game and I thought Oregon might have gotten a little respect for the way they played Auburn but I guess not.

Whoever said easily is clearly the dumbest person on this site or is 12 and doesn't know shite about sports yet.

Cam was confused, tentative and eventually hurt......why? Because Oregon was getting shots on him like no one else did all season and never from the same place. Yeah, the backup would have came in with a few snaps to his record and won the game.

I give Auburn credit for winning the game but come the frick on.

It was far and away Cam's worst game since the 2nd week of the year against Mississippi State... two turnovers, overthrown passes, struggling b/c of his back, etc.... Obviously the threat of Cam really helped Dyer and the running game... but I'm curious if people think we could've beaten the #1 team in the country with another QB.

Without Cam Auburn would probably not have even made a bowl game. If they had it would have been the Music City or something similar.

Yes, Oregon wasn't anywhere near the team as we were led to believe.

False. Take Cam out and you go from defending one of the most dynamic offenses in that nation to handling a rather vanilla one. Sure Dyer was good this year but without the dual threat of Cam nobody gives a frick and everyone stacks the box to crush the running game.

Cam was good for a few plays that made the difference

be more interesting to debate whether they could have won without Fairly - that is would they have won a game that was more like an up tempo shootout without Fairly to crash through Oregon's line

Not a chance. They committed their entire defense to stopping him and you only won by three.

Without him, loss.

I think he was just as important. No I don't think they do win without him.

Actually, Oregon's defense really impressed me. The offense just wasn't powerful enough. A lot of speed, no power. If they would have still had lagarret blount, Oregon probably wins.

Ironically this is the only year in the last several they haven't had a power back. They could have used it. They will have one next year.
