You would have fit very well at "The Capstone" back in the 1950's and early 1960's. Hell, I get the impression you might have even helped ol' Georgia block that door!

Looks like ain't shite changed on the plains since 1950.

This sounds like the exact same stuff you hear about Rodney Garner year in and out but yet he continues to recruit well and stay on SEC staffs.

I believe that many of the comments made by our BAMMER friends about Troopers hat are due to one of the following two reasons: Jealousy or Racism. Racism because I can not remember Alabama having a high profile black coach and they do not like Auburn having one. Jealousy because Auburn has been successful in recruiting.

Troops hat wearing, towel waving personality has ZERO to do with Alabama, so they should just shut-up about the hat. But they will not because they are either jealous or racist.

Bamachick, I do not know you. I know many people that LOVE Troop and these are people that speak to him on a daily basis. I do not deny that some may not like him, that is life, but we must consider the source. You crediblity will certainly be questioned since you are an Alabama fan. Nothing you say will convince the Auburn faithful, of course you are just playing to the Bama fan. We know this.

Three #1 recruiting classes in four years = no reason to be jealous of anyone.

Your post on this topic was among the dumbest you've ever made...and that is saying something because you post some pretty idiotic shite.

There are a handful of good AU posters (Go Crazy, Marines, AMM, and a few more) who I will feel sorry for when Trooper gets slammed, but then I'll think of you and I will laugh and be quick to tell you "I told you so". Julian Cazanas Jr said to tell Trooper hi...and THANKS!

Most Bama fans don't like Trooper for the following reasons (in Order of most significant to least):

1. He coaches at AU.
2. He used to coach at UT.
3. He his active on the sideline and draws attention to himself and AU (usually at times when something good is happening for AU).
4. He wears his hat backwards. As a black man, many jump to the thug moniker based on this and #3 above.
5. There are allegations related to his recruiting tactics that are easy to believe for an opposing fan due to all of the above.

High profile? High profile for wearing a hat backwards, waiving a towel, and yelling "mcneiler" on national television.

And James Willis says "what's up?".

Bobby Williams is on staff and is a leading recruiter. He is going into his 5th season in Tuscaoloosa.
Burton Burns is on staff and is a leading recruiter. He is going into his 5th season in Tuscaloosa.
Chris Rumph (an African American) was just hired to replace Bo Davis (an African American).

I could not care less about the color of a coach's skin. I just care about his ability to do his job and represent my school in a class manner.

I did not say that Alabama did not have black coaches, I said they did not have HIGH PROFILE black coaches. That is just a fact. Auburn has Trooper and Luper..

The racism card, when intended to apply it to one fan base more so than the other, is silly. There are plenty of racists in Alabama. I am sure there are many Bama fans that allow overt or underlying racism to play into their hatred for Trooper. However, it is silly to assume that racist people in this state gravitate toward one fan base over the other.

If Trooper coached at Bama and did what he does at AU, I probably wouldn't care for him much myself.
