Alabama will continue to keep post-Saban recruiting momentum until the reality sets in that DeBoer is no Saban and can't win at the same level. The new playoff model will also contribute to decline.

It definitely allows more room for injuries and shortened careers. Postseason sure, getting through the gauntlet to the end, not so much.
