After signing his LOI, I remember he actually stated that being a father was one of the reasons he signed here so he could be close to home.
As bad as LSU was in that era, it was hard to get the top recruits to stay in Louisiana. Selfishly, as a recruiting fan, I was kind of glad he tied himself down, and felt the obligation to stay near.

I can guarantee you that there are a handful of players on the teams you dumbasses cheer for that have a kid or more. It always shocked me when I would hear who on our team had kids. Not surprising though, they're just falling in line with what statistics have been telling us for years.
