Guess you weren't at 2005 AU. Hell even 2003 or 2009. I have been to these places, Sanford is louder

Always go to georgia. Love the place. But it's not one of the louder stadiums.

As a UT fan, the Swamp is the only stadium I've ever considered to give us a serious mental disadvantage.

And I mean mental like it gets in your head, not mental like you accidentally run 13 people on the field.

Sanford stadium is a great stadium with a very cool setup (especially the view from the bridge into the stadium) but the stadium just wasn't loud at all the time I went. Granted it was in the mid 90s and Bama mopped the floor with UGA that day so that probably didn't help.

As for loud stadiums, I think BDS can and does get just as loud and intense as any stadium in the SEC. The difference is the noise comes in spurts and is off and on throughout a big game. That's where LSU, UF, and AU have a bit of an edge. Those three stadiums sustain their peak loudness more consistently throughout the game than BDS.

Think you need to increase your sample size then

Ask any of your fellow bama fans how loud it was at the beginning of the 08 game. Anyone who says Sanford can't be/isn't loud just hasn't gone to the right games. I've been to 11 SEC stadiums (since we don't play in gainesville) and in each and every one I've heard the home crowd be quiet at one point or another.

When Sanford is at its peak it can be just as loud as any other SEC stadium.

Yes at its peak and in the begining, but as far as sustatining it through out the whole game is where UGA lacks.

As far as loud and intimidating Sanford would not be in my Top 7 of the SEC.

There simply are not 7 stadiums in the SEC that have a longer, louder sustained crowd noise than Sanford. That just isn't true, you're letting your UGA hatred blind you to the truth.

I've been to an LSU game where it really didn't get LOUD even once. Hell in that troy game (or whoever it was) a few years ago yalls fans left in the 3rd quarter. NO stadium has sustained loudness all game, every game. For a big time SEC game against a rival Sanford is up there with anybody.

Which stadium is "loudest per capita of fans"?

That is clearly Davis Wade Stadium.

Not hard to do when your stadium is so small.

State is definitely the worst SEC stadium for a person to watch a game. Who wants to either A) bring earplugs for a game or B) have a headache for the next 36 hours.

As far as the stadium experience goes, it's really no different than VHS.
