Without Fletcher Cox ($103 mil) we’d be at the bottom with Vandy

Saw California in there at the #2 spot. Perfect example of what the QB has become in the NFL:

"Only" 33 active players (still a lot for Cal but a lot fewer than the other top earning schools) but total earnings are $719,943,281 (second to Georgia). A big reason is Aaron Rodgers with $204,044,519 in career earnings.

5. Ole Miss: $402,741,780

That one will take a hit like Tennessee with no manning in the nfl.

That number vaulted substantially this year where it was estimated that he earned 66.9 mil in 2018 alone due his signing bonus.

Spotrac likely just throws the lump sum of the signing bonus into the earnings since it is guaranteed; but a lot of players elect to have it paid out over the course of their contract for the most part.

Average earnings per active player

1. Georgia: $17,140,049.15

Got nothing on Miami Ohio at $72,292,832 average earnings per active player.

Or Shippensburg University at $60,688,958 average earnings per active player.

Stafford isn’t our only reason. Gurley, AJ Green, Justin Houston, and Geno Atkins all making a shite ton not to mention the other guys we have active. If they stay healthy into their second contract, Chubb and Michel will add to that total too

Hopefully Tunsil's 2nd contract will mitigate some of the damage
