If Howard underperforms again this year do we begin to question the system he is in or does he start looking like a bust?

I'm going to make an extremely bold prediction. O.J. Howard will have close to 1000 yards receiving this year. With Coker's limitations and the inexperience of the WRs, I see Bama going to their TEs and RBs a lot in the passing game. Howard's going to have a breakout season.

Huanger Henry and Ingram are alone at the top right now. I'd love to have either one on Georgia. I mean, preferably both. Would be a matchup nightmare. I remember wanting Henry at Georgia really bad when he was coming out of HS.
In the next tier I will go with a homer and say Blazevich will have a very good season. He's not a true tight end like Arky likes to use, he's more of a Hybrid type that can stretch the field a little more and make those really tough catches. Kinda like a poor man's Nick O'Leary but with gloves.

I think both Engram and Henry are perfect fits for their respective systems.
In terms of sheer "talent," I'd probably place Henry and Howard in one class, and Engram in the other.
Engram is just not that big. He would be a big WR in the NFL at 6'3, 227. He has great straightline speed and is faster than most LBs and some safeties. Also, he is an incredible route runner.

1. Steven Scheu - 39 receptions (no one has mentioned this guy)
2. Evan Engram - 38 receptions
3. Hunter Henry - 37 receptions
Receiving yards
1. Evan Engram - 662 yards

3. Hunter Henry - 513 yards
Receiving TDs
1. Steven Scheu - 5 TDs (no one has mentioned this guy)

Steven Scheu is arguably the best returning TE in the SEC and he hasn't been mentioned once in this thread - second in receptions and receiving yards and first in TDs. Also, he is 6'5, 250.
Poor kid. If he had those numbers at nearly any other SEC school, we'd be all over his jock right now

I'd say system. Notice that the players listed below are all pre-Nussmier and pre-Kiffin.

Scheu had a good season but I think it was more of being the only option in a very bad system than being an elite TE.

You are right TA, to be honest I hadn't heard diddly about Scheu though he seems to have had a great season for a woeful Vanderbilt team. I'd have to watch some games of his to see if he is a good hybrid who can catch the ball or if he can level people in the blocking game as well.
I think Engram has a solid shot at a NFL career. His size makes him a tough match up for corners and his speed for LBs. If I was a GM looking to shore up my passing attack I'd take a long look at a kid like that.

Charles Clay was 6'3 235 when he came out of Tulsa. The Dolphins bulked him up to 250 over time.

No kidding. I do wish we would utilize Henry a little more on 1st down however. Attack the seam on PA when the LB's are expecting run.

One thing NFL scouts have to love about Henry is that he loves to block.
Hell, Treadwell loves to block a lot more than Engram, I feel.
