We have identified a fan that really doesn’t comprehend the game….when the DL drops off the secondary pay bro!
You do realize we just lost our two stud DL in 1st and early 2nd rd? We arguably have more solid rotational DL depth this year. We should be good against the run. DL pass rush unclear. Just too early to tell.

“Returning production” is one of the most useless stats
Our kicker scored 143 points last year and graduated. That will skew your "returning production" for sure.

1. Sicilian defense
2. King’s Indian Defense
3. French defense.
The chess teams in this league are next level.

I personally am partial to the Sicilian Dragon defense. My brother was kicking my butt over and over again, so I switched to that defense and trashed him 3.5/5 times.

When pass rush drops off the secondary pays. When just the defensive line drops off a team might be more apt to run thus taking pressure off the secondary.

No...
Think about it. If the defensive line is weak against the rush, it forces the secondary to play close. The offense can then throw behind them, which puts more pressure on the secondary in both pass and rush.

That is assuming the regression is that drastic. The opposite was true for Texas last year. The run defense was amazing and we got up by multiple scores early in most games. This forced the other team to throw the ball to get back into the game putting much more pressure on the secondary than had it been an average rush defense.
In your example a "weak DL" causing the secondary to move up only applies to one position. The safety (depending on the personnel). Some teams play a different coverage or stack the box. There are plenty of ways to adjust for a below average DL play.
