2010 iron bowl is, I'm sure, your favorite memory of all time. It's not the greatest game. One team beating the hell out of the other and then a huge comeback is not a great game.

As stated above, USC/Texas was a great game. This year's SECC was a much better game.

I'd fap all over 2010 too if the roles were reversed...but that doesn't make it the greatest of all time.

Because there was more scoring?

People will remember 28-27 long after this years SEC championship game is forgotten.

Great games, for me, at least, are based on how big the implications were and how big the story-lines surrounding the game were.

UGA vs Bama was a great game no doubt. But it pales in comparison to 28-27.

How quickly do people forget that the 24-0 lead probably should've been 42-0. It was just an epic comeback and pure domination from the second half on.

Then how can it not be the last SEC title game? Not only was a trip to the BCS title game on the line for both teams, but we all knew that it was the real BCS title game.

In no particular order, just as I think of them: My criteria is that it was a good game with national title implications:

2008 SECCG Florida vs Alabama
2012 SECCG Georgia vs Alabama
2010 AU @ Alabama
2010 LSU @ AU
2011 LSU @ Alabama
2007 Florida @ LSU
2006 South Carolina @ Florida
2006 LSU @ Florida
2007 LSU @ Kentucky

Honorable Mention:
2010 Alabama @ Arkansas

And listen, 28-27 was a great game to watch, but UGA vs Alabama was two 11-1 teams fighting for a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in the biggest SEC game of the year.

And it came down to the last play at the goal line.

To anyone on this site that's not an Auburn fan, the 2012 SECCG was the bigger of the two games.

People way over-estimating 2010 Iron Bowl. It was a great game but the stakes were really just on one side.

The 2008, 2009, and 2012 SEC title games were epic because they were basically the national championship game. The 09 game was a blowout which makes it not a "great" game, but the 08 and 12 versions were classics, particularly 12.

The best regular season game was clearly 07 UF/LSU, but there are a ton of honorable mentions, which have all been listed thus far.

Too much offense, I prefer a real defensive battle of two of the best defenses in the country shutting down the opposing offense to an epic final score and one of the greatest games of this century:

3-2

2010 will forever be remembered by every college football fan.

But not really, so I'll remind you...

Auburn, led by the hated Cam Newton, basically won a National Championship on Saban's field down 24-0 (and easily could've been 35-0), and Cam secured the Heisman.

2006: Trailing 38-3 in the third quarter, Michigan State rallied for a 41-38 victory over Northwestern.

And here's a couple of others:

1974 Notre Dame vs. USC.

The Irish go into the half with a 24-7 lead. The Trojans promptly mounted an incredible comeback and won the game 55-24.

1989 Alabama vs. Ole Miss.

Ole Miss jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead but Alabama went on to win the game by a score of 62-27.

In answer to your question - no, USC/Texas was not better because there was more scoring. I prefer the 9-6 Bama/LSU game. But USC/Texas was better because the tension was there for the entire game. It wasn't JUST a last minute drive, it was back and forth and two incredible teams for an entire football game.

To see a team mount a great comeback is thrilling, but it's not as good as two teams that lay it all out for the full 60 minutes.
