Because in actuality it is

JFF >>>> AJ
Yeldon > Malena
Evans = Cooper

Melena is a non-factor so it's:

AJ passer >>>>>> JFF Passer
JFF runner = Yeldon
Cooper >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Evans

So is Malena a top ten RB nationally right now?

Evans = Cooper

Reasoning behind this? I personally think the eye test shows Cooper is better, and then when you look at the stats and the facts, Coop was barely used until the Ole Miss game, and on the year he averaged four more yards per catch than Evans and had 5. AND Evans had two more catches per game.

Here is my unbiased report of Oregon...

Mariota will win the heisman

De'Anthony will get 2,000 yards rushing and

since Josh Huff was reportedly oozing charisma and wearing a shirt that said "don't hassle the Huff"

Our trio is better.

Unfortunately, the NCAA violations report will also be unbiased.

Stats (and Heisman) last year suggest otherwise. And that was JFF's first year of college ball.

Problem is, AJ rusher ...you get the idea; so overall I don't think anyone is buying the argument that they're close.

Last two times a PAC 12 player won the heisman, that team was ranked #1.

He hasn't even reached 2,000 CAREER rushing yards. (less than 1,300 in two seasons).

At his 8.81 ypc average, he would need to carry the ball 227 times, more than DOUBLE the number of times he carried the ball in 2012.

Dude - sorry I didn't use the sarcasm font. I thought the story about HUFF would spell that out.

DAT will not rush for 2,000 yards and Mariota won't win the Heisman...just for the record.

I think it's hard to put ATM's three over BAMA. IT is a stretch.

Mike Evans - 82 catches, 1105 yards, 85 ypg, 5 TD
Amari Cooper - 59 catches, 1000 yards, 71.4 ypg, 11 TD

Wow--Cooper is one dangerous motherfricker.

On those stats, if I have one play, I'm taking Cooper over Evans all. fuggin'. day.

The carries will be split by all three: Mariota, Huff and De'Anthony. Huff (#1 WR) has moved to the slot to presumably take over DAT's hybrid role.

And you didn't factor in Malena at all. So basically you're admitting because of JFF being the SEC's leading rusher we have an extra player. 4 v 3 wins every time. Gumps be gumpin.

If you actually have seen more than a small group of his snaps, he's actually very mobile, he's just a real QB. He isn't shifty and he doesn't have top end speed, but I see him sort of like Aaron Rodgers in the mobility department.

And it isn't like Evans is bad either, Cooper is just really special. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Evans has better numbers this upcoming season. If Black and Howard are what we think they are, and if AJ keeps spreading it around to the likes of Bell, White, Ch. Jones, and KN, Cooper's numbers may suffer a bit. I think his catch numbers will likely be down a bit, his TDs total probably won't be double digits again, but I think he can get right around 1000 yards again.

No one pass rushes JFF--not since LSU gave a blueprint for defending him (well, a blueprint provided your D is chalked full of NFL talent).

I separated out their passing and rushing. Stats prove AJ was a better passer (he was the best passer in the nation - lead the nation in passing efficiency which is when they combine all the passing stats to see which QB is most likely to lead his team to a national championship).

JFF is of course a better rusher, hell I said he was T.J.'s equal.

This, to an effect. You have to put some pressure on him, because he can pass too, but you have to congest the pocket and you have to have a Spy or play Zone. If you can get pressure while still keeping him within a wall and get good coverage you'll be able to have a chance.
