I feel like Surtain picked Bama over LSU cuz he and his dad didn’t believe in Coach O being able to make LSU relevant again but anyways who you got?

Best I can tell, Stingley could eat PSII's lunch. Hurts me to admit that as a bama fan. I'm just glad LSU didn't get them both!

Obviously, but Surtain would have benefited from better coaching at LSU. His numbers just don’t add up for a #1 CB out of 2018 & 6th overall Prospect.

Stingley is better. That’s not to say Pat Surtain isn’t good but Stingley was playing at Jim Thorpe levels as a freshman. Except for the couple of times he got burned by Van Jefferson and Devonta Smith. He shut down pretty much everyone else he played against on his own.

Is some troll attempt? What sane person who actually watches football would ever take Surtain over Stingley? I know I wouldn’t. That’s no knock on Surtain because he’s a stud in his own right but Stingley might be the best CB prospect of the last 20 years.

Stingley is better at this point obviously. Surtain is solid but not a shut down corner yet. He seems like the type who will slowly get better all throughout his rookie NFL contract, similar to Stephon Gilmore. He's still a very raw talent.

Who did Devonta Smith smoke for over 200 yards last year Stingley?

I’d take Stingley. He’s very good and LSU will have to hear all of the talking heads start spouting off about whether he should play his Junior year or sit out. I hate that shite.

You mean the Jr that was established for two years prior who had arguably the best QB in the history of Alabama throwing to him against a true freshman who got fricked by the coaching staff on 70 of those 200 yards. On top of that CB is arguably the hardest position on the field especially as a true freshman.

CeeDee ate up Surtain in the Orange Bowl. 7 catches for 102 yards on him.

Freshmen get beat. It happens. Both are great players. Stingley is definitely more polished though.

Come the hell on, man. Stingley isn't that way because he was coached up. Some people just have whatever that 'it' is. Should all of the DE prospects have gone to SCe because Clowney was a monster as a freshmen?

Surtain is a solid player and he'll be a solid pro. There's no shame in not being as good as Stingley.

You mean facts. What’s yours for losing to LSU in Bryant Denny? Tua being hurt after Saban swore he was a go? Or how about Tua with the phantom fumble on the opening drive? Or how about your excuse when Chase made Diggs and Surtain his bitch all night?

Surtain has been covering for an inexperienced backfield..secondary and linebackers. The true measure of Surtain vis a vis Stingley will come this year. If we play!
