Does being in a bad conference magically make you better in the Tournament? Because Florida's Tourney record over the last decade seems to make your argument stupid:

I mean other than the true Blue Bloods- UK, UNC and Duke-- I can't think of a team with a better record over that time period.

Over the last 35 years a team from Florida has played for a national title roughly 40-50% of the time. 11 of the last 35 titles have been from the state.

There is some logic there.
Yet, both programs have 3 Nattys in Football.
Neither team has won the CWS. FSU has historically made a lot more appearances.
Florida has 2 Nattys in Basketball. FSU has 0. And Final 4 appearances heavily favors Florida 5-1.
Then lets say you still feel that is equal or FSU is better. Overall Florida has won 35 Team National Championships while FSU has won 17.
I don't think there is any empirical data showing that FSU is a better sports program than Florida.

Um-- a pass first team wasn't beating Florida last season, hell even with Treon at QB that game wouldn't have been particularly competitive.

I agree with you and can you tell me how you do this? Just exactly how does a pipsqueak program from South Carolina pull all of these studs out of, and away from not only Florida, but FSU, Miami, and many other top national programs?
