I don't think D. Adams will be one of the best five players in the SEC next year but dude...you gotta put him in the top 5 receivers

Wow...this thread is full of homers. Gators picking Brantly. Vols picking Brown.

Let's stick to proven players here. We're talking about the best in the league.

Georgia fans...that means no Aaron Murray talk. Auburn fans....don't even mention Cam Newton.

If Russell Shepard was on any other team besides LSU he would blow up this year.

One time I saw he was PLANTED. After that, no more carries, in that game. I think they were making sure that his body was still CONNECTED to his aura. Maybe he went into the Light, I dont know.
I hear he is going to put on 12-15 pounds.
He was met at the line and he kind of jumped into the air, and he was planted, whack!! into the ground, like a sack of potatoes.

I saw no mightier tackle vs LSU last season. My guess is that he is going to move outside, where he wont have to deal with DTs.
That was awful to behold. Better stay low lad. Stay low.

I think it's pretty safe to pick Brantley in the top 5. Urban Meyer offenses put up big numbers pretty much where ever he coaches.

Rueben Randle will turn alot of heads this year. Billy Gonzales agrees.

I thought about it. He really could be if he gets the system down and thrives. With his physical ability, he could be a superstar under Malzahn. We'll see though. According to most Gator fans, however, he sucks.

I think you guys seriously underestimate how easy it is for SEC Defenses to stop 1-Dimesional offenses (which I believe Florida will be 1-D without Tebow). Chris Rainey, Demps, those guys are not power runners. Any SEC offense needs a power run game.. Tebow was Florida's power run game.
Take a look at Auburn, do you think their offense would have been as effective without Ben Tate? The dude was a bowling ball.. If Onterrio McCalebb gets most of the carries, Auburn probably loses an extra game or 2 at least. And next year, they will have Fannin and Dyer, bruising backs, which is why they will be successful.
And no one say Dexter McCluster.. he is not the rule.. only an exception.. plus, OM never won crap while he was there.

The point is, Brantley won't be a Top 5 player unless he has a power run game to keep a defense honest.
IMO, this is proven in the SEC.

1. Bama running backs. Ingram/Richardson/Lacy
2. AJ Green
3. LSU receivers. Randle/Tolliver
4. UF utility guys. Dems/Rainey/DeBose. Mack Brown too
5. I'll reach and say Alshon Jeffrey. Very underrated

Ingram for obvious reasons.

Green

Tolliver

I would say watch Bryce Brown. Kid was decent last year and showed some promise.

Marquis Maze. Julio, whether he deserves it or not, gets a lot of attention. Maze ate several teams up last year in man coverage, and finds zones very well. Big year IMO.
