Keynesian Economics have failed time after time in history. Our government dumping money into the economy is a short term fix, but in the long run will hurt this country even more. Increase national debt, devalue the American dollar, inflation goes sky high, etc. etc.
You can't spend more money than your bringing in, and you can't fix that by printing more money with nothing to back it. You can't bail out companies with Federal money.
You let them suffer from their own incompetence, cut the federal budget down, give tax breaks to the companies that create jobs for people and allow them to expand and the economy to right itself. We are heading down the same damn road that Greece went.
The business cycle will run it's course... you have economic booms and recessions. When a government tries to intervene and fix the recession it always ends up worse down the road.

Or the gov't dumps a bunch of stimulus money into the economy, further driving down the value of the dollar. Then instead of 10$, you may be holding 100 dollars but you'll only be able to buy 10 dollars worth of merchandise due to inflation and that dollar not being worth shite.
