I have never taken a class in tree destruction, but given the political implications involved in an issue like this, the judge will probably impose a huge fine the guy will never be able to pay, and give him a few months in jail. Whatever the max is.

Finebaum said the Dept of Homeland Security could take up the investigation
Would this fall under domestic terrorism?
Yes. I have heard that Homeland Security is actually in on this. Seriously.

Haha, the only way feds get involved that I can think of is EPA/environmental laws that were very mildly broken.

It's not that big of a deal. The poison takes about 5 years off Trees with a short life span as it is. Auburn has been growing new trees to replace them for a very long time now.
It's terrible pub for Alabama

Hey Chick ! <3

Sad day for AU fans, that's for sure.

There is a camera on Toomers that provides a live feed. The stream is on some website I don't remember.

That's what I thought too. Some guy said you would have to consume so much of the stuff to actually kill you that you would be more likely to drowned first.

This is an absolute f**king disgrace! The person(s) responsible should do prison time for this shite!
It is one thing to root against your rival, but to deface property and kill symbols of a tradition is criminal, malicious, and scary. The idiots who did this are beyond stupid!

+1. I'm glad another Auburn fan isn't looking to murder people after this shite. I thought my mom was going to fight me at dinner when I said something along these lines.

When the oaks are laid to rest, do you use a pine box or is that considered offensive to an oak? Would an oak box be more fitting or is this too an insult to both the box and the deceased?

I just find it weird.
The idiot called Finebaum and said he did it.
A couple of days later someone from the AU forestry department called in and said they tested the soil and everything was fine.
Then the send the samples to Miss State and their results say that the trees are all but dead and the soil is ruined.
I'm thinking some MSU lab rat is fricking with all of us.

Why don't they have cameras and 24 hr surveillance with all the shanangnas that goes on at Toomer's Corner?
The have a live cam. I've been watching the students protesting or something by rolling the poor tree.
Link to watch the Toomer's tree all the time. So the terrorist should be on the tapes somewhere.

Any publicity for the State of Alabama that does not involve race relations is good publicity.
