You do not have to have a college degree to be a D1 coach, look at our swimming coach he is still working on his BS in Psychology I believe. Person had no HC experience that was the thing that killed him. I agree coaches should have a degree because they are selling kids on being student-athletes, however it is not a requirement at the moment.

Good question...not sure. I certainly hope that would be something JJ would be aware of if so. The Calipari connection is a bit unnerving for me to be honest.

It's got nothing to do with talking smack on a message board. It's about how somebody writes a novel about how of course AU would never hire a black basketball coach because of racism, and yet the coach is black. It's also got to do with how much shite gets slung at ITAT on here, when bammermag is just as bad if not worse.

My thoughts as well. I think this is a great hire, hopefully there isn't anything that is going to come out of the Memphis thing to screw it up.

Well, I don't have an account there so I couldn't see what was written. Rival fans will always find something to trash the other about. With Barkley's past comments, you have to figure that some rival fans will try and spin this hire in a negative light. You're right, those sites suck. I don't post on any Bama sites because there's not much objectivity and they don't like people to disagree.

Debating it. I'm wanting to make an AU trip for the LSU series. Wife is wanting to go down for CityFest. And the A-Day game is sandwiched in between. So, who knows?
