Morons are incapable of doing a post search. What is the next subject on your talking list ? We haven't seen a post recently (5 hours) about the GOAT CF Team.

All it would take is claiming it in a Program . That is how it is done at other schools. What are you all up to now ? 20?

If he retired after this season and doesn’t have a bad one, I imagine he’d easily win one in 2022 if available.

That was a great pull for Orgeron, especially at the time.
No doubt, supposedly O went up to Cody's dad at a high school game and Cody's dad was sitting with Notre Dame people and they were making fun of O
Those Notre Dame dudes must have been pretty brave. I'd want no part of O.

I read your long post about heartbreaking losses so I will just combine the 2 responses here. 2004 Auburn got just what they deserved in regards to Bowling Green cancelling on you. When Tubbs got to Auburn they were scheduled for a long term home and home series with FSU. Auburn-FSU was to be the 1st Bowden Bowl, not Clemson FSU.
2004 FSU was a 9-3 football team and had you beat them, most assuredly things would have played out for Auburn as you noted that year. BUT Aubs chickenshitted out of the 1999 game and series cause you did not want to face a loaded FSU team, 1 of the best all time, facing a beat down.

Clemson FSU
I think it's interesting how FSU and Clemson mirrored each other's paths in different decades.
Both schools started out as the "aww shucks" underdog, began running through a weak conference, and finally attracted some generational talents to become legitimate national contenders.
Eventually for Florida State, the dysfunction started, and somewhere along the line the once mighty program was lost. Those who don't remember their run will probably never realize how dominant they actually were.
Now we sort of take it for granted that Clemson will "be back" most every year. I wonder, though, if they can avoid a similar fate? Or have we already seen their peak?

You are correct in some way, however Bowden had to take FSU on an odyssey as an Independent for 15 plus years. He went into the “Snake Pits” of every major conference year in and out. One year he played ND, LSU, the Bucknuts, Nebraska, and Pitt in their heyday plus UF. These games were all on the road. FSU played LSU 5 games Tiger Stadium before their lone trip to Tallahassee. There was a year in the 80’s he beat SEC Champion, the Big 10 Champion, ACC Champ Clemson, plus UF and Nebraska in a Bowl Game.
Clemson never really got out on the road against big name teams from other Conferences. FSU has continued to schedule some big out of Conference games. At least they did through the Jimbo years. FSU folks want the big out of conference games, Clemson. Not so much.
