hated the administration. Hmmm....I wonder why?

Most of the ones involved in jetgate were ousted before he left, but the boosters involved are still around.
If he hated it that much he wouldn't have sent his son there nor would he have been as public with his appearances when he came back. It was the right time for him to go when he left but I think most fans remember his time fondly and he obviously feels come connection.

The reason Tubby had to go is the same reason Richt had to go. Eventually you have to make a run at a championship if you are on top in the SEC. He never could finish big like Spurrier. He took his foot off the gas when it was about winning big and showing flash to get the rankings. Not enough fire to win it all the way it had to be done.

We will have to see where Gus ends up to compare the two.If Gus can get through to 6 or 7 years it will be a miracle. To make 10 years he will have to put up better numbers than Tubby. Welcome to SEC big 6 football.

He never beat us by more than 8 pts, even when we had walk-on's starting.

2000: 9-0 (9 > 8)

2002: 17-7 (10 > 8) (using 3rd string RB and a TE at FB because of injuries.)

2005: 28-18 (10 > 8)

Impressive math skills right there, bubba.
