He knew he was going to need those extra points. Yes, they did get a garbage time TD but he knew he was in for a fight last night. I can't blame him for his panicked thinking early in the game.
Texas is a good team. They'll win the Big 12. I thought Oklahoma was good but they won't beat this team. Not enough chest on defense. Jalen will place 2nd behind Burrow for Heisman but even he can't overcome their atrocious defense.
Good job -- not only for emerging as one of the top 3 teams in the country but also for bringing some pride back to the SEC (which Georgia couldn't do).
I also knew that a lot of Bama fans will try to come out and disparage LSU's performance by saying that Texas is a bad team. I mean what else can you do when you're afraid? LSU will go toe to toe with Alabama this year. A win over them would not surprise me at this point.
The things you thought you knew:
Bama was unstoppable then 44-16
Tua was unstoppable then Jalen bailed them out and proved himself better to win the SEC and then 44-16
LSU was a guaranteed win -- not so much is it?
I know it hurts to be this afraid. But there is more to life than football in Alabama. Just thought you should know.
Is it so bad that LSU fans should be this hopeful for their team on an LSU site? I don't get the criticism for that. If it doesn't bother you so much, then why are you deflecting at 6:30 am on a Sunday morning?

You think Texas will beat OU and win the Big 12 because of their superior defense? That was one of the worst secondary performances I have ever witnessed last night by a supposed top 10 team. Burrow had his choice of wide open receiver all night.

Burrow balled out, but Texas might not finish 3rd in Big 12 with that defense and secondary. My Gawd they were terrible.

I’m not reading all of that but Herman fricking worked Aranda in the 2nd half. We didn’t stop them once. We have so much to clean up on Defense if we want to even be in the ball game with Bama.

Yeah I’m not sure Texas is that good, and can’t really judge them just based on how successful they were against our very poor defense last night. I guess one could even argue that our offense, while definitely dramatically better was not playing against a proven, stout defense.

You chicken little idiots drive me crazy.Your mentality is ; If our offense was successful then the other teams defense sucks. If our defense is successful it’s because the other teams offense sucked.
Guess what jackass? We have a good offense and defense. I only had a couple of complaints and one was Aranda not scheming better and blitzing more. I didn’t like seeing Chaisson getting gobbled up coming off the edge all night. The other was our D linemen that seem to have not been taught any technique. All they do is bull rush every play.
