I'm not sure how many LSU games you get to watch, but he's the real deal. Stats don't tell the whole story, especially on defense. Just think: he was a DE out of high school, had to learn how to play MLB, dealt with Chavis leaving after he was finally coming along, first full year as a starter is under a mediocre at best coordinator in Steele. Now he has Aranda teaching him. I predict a huge season from Beckwith.

Definitely not as many these days. Had a kid at the beginning of last season, so a LOT less time to watch football than previous years. I'll defer to you guys on him as you're certainly more familiar with his talents than I am. Can definitely see the rationale behind why you'd expect a big year from him and your concessions are hard to argue with as they don't involve booting another team's player off.

Too many unknowns to put any more on the list. Dominick Sanders could easily find himself as a "top 25" player by the end of the season, but wouldn't put him on the list going into it. There is a reason most UGA fans predict an 8-9 win season this year... there's upside, but just too many young guys that will be thrust into starting.

I would think JRM would be more deserving of a spot on the list than Dobbs, but i'm not sure what their criteria was exactly for the list.

Although I'm sure Bama will have a strong LB core as always, I highly doubt they have 2 LB's more deserving of being on a top 25 player list than JRM going into the year.

Dobbs is what he is, and we know what we have with him. Electrifying runner that also enables Hurd and AK to do work, and is serviceable but not great in the passing game. Sometimes frustratingly misses open throws, but does a pretty good job limiting TO's. Maybe not the 14th best overall player in the league, but a solid, above average SEC quarterback.

Your list is shite. There aren't enough Tennessee players on it.

Really only one guy for us that wasn't on the list that I thought should have been. The list isn't too bad.

Dobbs

His spot was questionable to me *but* then I remembered how bad the QB outlook is for the conference as a whole. If he puts together a semblance of a passing game and continues to run as well as last year, he'll be a freaking monster this year (as opposed to the alien we all know him to be currently... because of his fivehead).

As far as Bama's LBs they're on for different reasons I'd say. If Tim Williams gets after the QB as well in 16 as he did in limited play in 15, dude will look all world. Then Foster seems to be the heir apparent to take over Ragland's old role... Again, I can see a case for it, but would probably have those 2 over JRM on my version of the list. (And I'm not a Foster fan... at all.)

Tim Williams is a monster. There isn't a whole lot to separate JRM and Foster, don't think it's really unjustified for Foster to have a spot ahead of JRM.

This is absolutely true. I can see several guys possibly being on it at the end of the year; Sanders, Thompson, and Godwin. Then of course there is the newbies that could light it up; Eason, Natua and Hardman. Right now though the only UGA player deserving of the list is Chubb.

Reuben Foster at 15 is a joke Kendell Beckwith had more tackles Tkfl and Sacks last year.

Georgia has a serious lack of upperclassman playmakers.

I get why Jovon or Lawson wouldn't be on it. I think if both get a full season in they are locks but they haven't done that yet. But no Carlton Davis seems a little off. By the end of the season he was one of the best CBs in the SEC.

I have hard time putting Key on there yet. I think he is going to be a stud but needs a year in the weight room to really reach his potential. Although I think O.J. Howard is a top 10 athlete in the SEC he hasn't really put up the numbers to justify a top 25 OVR ranking imo.

That top 6 is filthy tho

Only ranked above Barnett because he was a 5 star out of HS and Barnett wasn't.

Well that and being able to pad those stats by playing the Little Sisters of the Poor every year in OOC matchups helps.

That said, the A&M guy and Barnett are two different types of DEs. Both are good players.

This list seems like it was made with an extremely short memory.
