Kamara and Ingram have been fun to watch this season.

Who the frick is Trent Richardson?

So his rushing stats aren't impressive besides that pesky yards per carry stat

Are you telling me 600+ yards through 14 games is impressive for a RB in the NFL? I already knew he was having
a very good year. He might even win ROY. I simply looked up the stats for accuracy.

Such an arbitrary statistic.

Today, total yardage/all purpose yards really matters.

Not a single one of you morons could have even guessed Kamara would be playing as well as he has, so who is to say what Sony Michel or any top RB will be doing a year from now.

That's kind of the point...

Plus he won't be putting up those numbers if he was the main guy. Teams are focusing in Ingram, but if Ingram got hurt and he had to carry the load, his stats would take a hit. Looks like he is injury prone as well.

This was a post you made recently, so sorry if I can't take anything you say seriously

It's an absolute fact that Sony Michel is a vastly superior running back in college to Alvin Kamara and is capable of doing what Kamara is doing in the NFL. Your insinuation that Michel isn't capable of being a great back, and just as good as Kamara, is laughable considering Michel can do everything Kamara can and better in most cases

Kamara was a beast in college when he played. He just was coached by Butch Jones so we didn't see his talent displayed as much as it should have been. He's averaging 6.6 ypc in the NFL this year. I know it's not a ton of carries, but as of now he's leading the league by a full yard.

Then why are so many implying that Michel can't be as good in the NFL? I don't even know how we got to this argument. I haven't read the entire thread, and it's a silly argument at this point.

My only point is Michel is a fantastic talent who is capable of having a big time NFL career. So is Chubb. These things are often dependent on staying healthy and what franchise you get drafted by. If Kamara or even Gurley had been drafted by Cleveland, we likely wouldn't be having this discussion.

I can't agree that he was a beast at UT. Yes, he has a fantastic YPA average. He also has a fraction of the touches of most RBs, but he's making the most of those touches and that is all you can ask. He's been a big time player for the Saints.

No one is implying that. They're implying to pump the brakes on Michel until he actually does something in the NFL. If you'll go back to the beginning of the thread, this was started when someone called Kamara a poor man's Michele. That is a ridiculous statement as things are right now. It all snowballed from there

Right now Kamara actually is awesome in the NFL. Michele, right now, has the tools to be good. Many a running back has looked like he's a sure thing and never amounted to anything. To call Kamara a poor man's Michele, when Michele has yet to prove himself on the biggest stage, is stupid. That's how this entire back and forth started.

Beacause some idiot called Kamara a poor mans version of Sony.

Which is a fricking ridiculous take. What the frick has Sony done in the NFL?

To correct my stats from earlier, I thought Kamara had already hit 1500 scrimmage yards. I believe he is at like 1350 or so. I’d assume he finishes around 1600.

You know what’s amazing about that? Ingram will finish with over 1600 also

Either way, Kamara ain’t a poor mans version of some college kid.

Also, injury prone? He took a head shot and got a concussion. He ain’t been injured otherwise

For those not paying attention:

quote:

Alvin Kamara is 1 of 4 rookies in NFL history to have 5+ rush TDs & 5+ receiving TDs. The other 3 are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Doak Walker, 1950
Charley Taylor, 1964
Gale Sayers, 1965
Alvin Kamara, 2017

This is why it's ludicrous to call Alvin Kamara a poor man's anything.

This thread alone shows why UGA fans are insufferable when their team is moderately good. First season in decades where they are relevant going into bowl season and all of a sudden their backup RB is better than the NFL rookie of the year. Lolllllll

In this thread, I learned, that one dude speaks for all UGA fans...

Dude is having to upvote his own posts at this point... no one with any sense thinks that Kamara *today* is a "poor mans Sony Michel"... Kamara has been clutch this year and it just goes to show he was criminally underused at Tennessee last year.

If you were trying to make any argument at all, you might say that Kamara *IN COLLEGE* could have been seen as a poor man's Michel... MAYBE... but even that I have no desire to go look at the numbers to try and back it up... not my hill to die on.

Next time I see a stupid comment from any poster of any fanbase, I suppose I can then use that as justification on why [insert fanbase] is so [insert insulting opinion] for [insert time relevant reason]...

It's not like there aren't UGA posters IN THIS frickING THREAD who are disagreeing with his content. God damn this place is full of cucks and dumbfricks who haven't the common sense to read what is in front of them before spewing dipshit opinions.

Respect for the UGA fans calling out dumb threads. But I said this thread is an example of why UGA fans are insufferable when they taste (once in a blue moon) a little success. Not that every UGA fan endorses OP's opinion.

I stand by that statement.

Thread started by a Gator... I doubt every UGA fan endorses his opinion...

When you say "UGA fans" without qualifying it... it's at a minimum saying most UGA fans... the majority of our posters aren't doing dumb shite. There is a vocal minority of either a) borderline retards (diddly, tb2k7, can't keep up with all of them) and/or b) alters of other programs (Zeus Stamos and SaturdayNAthens seem likely candidates at present)... I think most of us would prefer they were banned.

As to the "success breeds insufferability" See LSU after beating Auburn... See Auburn after beating UGA on these very same boards... it's the same with literally every fanbase here not named Vanderbilt or Kentucky more or less... If you win, your fanbase talks more shite. Welcome to the internet...

Yes, even if I point how successful the backs are in the league this year, it's somehow a troll.

He still a poor man's sony michel. Kamara didn't do shite in college and Sony looked 2x better than him at everything. Agility, pass catching, trucking, concussion resistance, darker skin, etc. This isn't takin anything away from Kamara, but Sony >>>> Kamara. Take Kamara off the 'ain'ts and replace him with S Michel, and Michel would be putting up even better numbers, and not missing a game from a concussion.
