Florida absolutely was a powerhouse last season, as were Auburn, Bama, Tennessee, Houston, Duke and a couple of others. Last year was stacked with powerhouse teams.

I wouldn't say this, even though it was at a local radio show broadcast at a restaurant just to get the fans fired up. I don't want to give the other team a reason to get fired up and play harder. I am from the Saban school of thought on this topic, but he probably wants to create an atmosphere like Auburn has created at Neville arena, and the best way to do that is to get your minions fired up by saying stuff like Bruce used to say that the fans love.
To be fair, he was just commenting on the situation and then the interviewer followed up with a question about the game. It wasn't like he said that just to say it out of the blue or to cause controversy, he was responding to the question about the game.

Bama fans would be so mad if it was Florida pulling Bediako right now. Not because they need him, but because they can.
They would be rioting and I would be too. That is my point.
I guess bama is okay with it now, for some marginal improvment, but highly doubt they wont regret this down the line... When players in the G League prove to only be loyal to the bigger check.

Not sure how you came to this conclusion, but it flies in the face of all the metrics and results on the court - including a national championship.

I'm not sure he's all that concerned with the crowd for the game, maybe wanted a fun soundbite for those in attendance at Gator Talk. The O'Dome is always sold out, and always raucous especially for SEC games. TG doesn't hold back his thoughts, always forthright in his interviews and press conferences. Don't think he's a fan of the situation and let it be down.

Well it could have been investigated through the legal system but the attorney didn't want that course of action. She just wanted to drag him through the mud as publicly as possible, like woke arse people do all the time.
There is a reason they got a fat arse lesbian Palestine lover from Chicago to represent them. I'll mark you down for supporting that as well.

I dislike Golden more than any other coach in college basketball, and I have no animosity at all for Florida. Golden has consistently struck me as a total douchebag, and that would be the case even if he hadn't been accused of sexual harassment by multiple young women.

Just curious, but what specifically has he done that makes you think he is a total douchebag?

I just think it sucks that anytime anyone doesn't like a rule they go to court. This is a governing body of universities that is trying to make fair rules for kids to play sports when they are in college and we have moved so far away from college kids playing sports against each other in the spare time while they are in college, to professional athletes making millions of dollars who don't even go to school. It's not college athletics any longer. I'm not blaming Bama. The money has fricked it all up.

I agree, and I don't like it either.
I assume at this point since other programs are doing it, Alabama feels like they'll try it too while we're the walking wounded, especially at that position.
But the powers that be are going to have to stop it (for everyone) pretty quickly or I'm going to feel like any success is just me watching this all unfold from a sinking ship, and I won't be returning to port anytime soon.

Mainly: investors who aren't even part of the colleges making billions of dollars in an industry built around "college kids playing sports against each other in their spare time"

Yeah there are a dozen different scenarios where none of this makes any sense.
Auburn has a player on their roster right now who played for the Serbia men's national team.
Louisville signed a guy who played 30 games in the G-league.
Baylor sucks for doing it. Alabama sucks for trying to do it.
None of it is good for the sport.
