I still love what I do LewDawg. I have a great job. Cannot believe a dumb kid from Baton Rouge ended up where I am at.

I didn't serve, but my older brother served 4 1/2 years Marines and 6 or so in the Army (was on a second tour with the Army when knee problems sidelined him). I'll be giving him a call today.

I am proud to say I am in fantastic shape for a man in his mid fifties. Very thankful for that. Minimal injuries along the way (broken hip on a parachute jump and busted knee playing flag football).

Gotta love that story when people asking if you were injured in the military.

"This here?" (pointing to a hip) "Parachute jump."

"This?" (pointing to knee) "Flag football. Scored."

Those are the best. My son asked me why I had a big bump on my collar bone. He asked if it was from Iraq.

"No, son, daddy got this by flipping a Yamaha Rhino"

Interception - the son of the music pastor (we were at a men’s retreat) dove for my flag and hyperextended my knee instead. I was pissed because I immediately knew I was hurt bad and refused anyone’s help. Walked off the field on my own. Was okay until I tried to step up on a low wall. Knee buckled and that was the end of that. Complete dumbass.
