Does being a soy boy beta cuck living vicariously through the SECr not bother you in the least Dansie? Have you no pride whatsoever?

Let's seriously segue into your motivations for being here, out of your element, and from there we'll breakdown the real answer to the OP's question ... cum breath.

Say when.

I think I need an interpreter.

Out of my element? On a website? Just so you know, Clemson fans are just as welcome here as you are. If you weren't so insecure about Clemson, this place would be a lot less fun.
Daddy goes where he wants, and getting your blood pressure up is where it's at tonight. Get those old liver spotted hands to type another indecipherable rant, if it's not past your bedtime.
This was a pleasant thread until you stunk it up.

There we go.

So let's begin.

Clemson and Clemson fans in particular have always been our little brother. Little brothers who have always, wince their inception, had this insecurity complex, en masse, ... and they've been willing to do pretty-much whatever it took to stay ahead of us, in spurts.

It started with their most cherished benefactor, the one they name their precious buildings after ... Pitchfork Ben Tillman. A sworn, well known racist and a blackmark on this state who played the reverse race card 100 years ago to give Clemson a leg up.

Clemson's fans bought-in with everything they had at the time. Every farmer, every rural family in this state fell for Pitchfork Ben's snake oil saleman schtick. Those Gamecocks let the darkies into their school ... Clemson will NEVER allow that! Clemson will stay white and pure and will fill our football roster with the finest young military and agricultural men to be had ... amd it was the A&M and heavy all male agri schools of the day that dominated.

That worked well for Clemson in gaining a lead on us, the Pitchfork Ben back stabbing and defunding of the Columbia campus, along with the all male military ROTC model of the time ... it worked well for Clemson right up until the end of WWII.

But then ...

Just read up on this guy. What a complete racist POS..the guy actually set up a black man to be lynched.

Clemson has buildings named after him? I hope Boom and Kirby both use the information when recruiting against Dabo.

Somewhere in the middle of this thread it did.

It was not a very contentious issue and did not distract from the Clemson/USC dynamic for very long

You're the good Clemson poster on this board, don't ruin that reputation with the tomfoolery in this thread.

lol this isn't historically accurate. SC didn't allow black people until after Civil War when the Republican occupiers forced them.

White enrollment at SC then dropped.

From Wikipedia:

'The scholarships achieved their desired effect in increasing enrollment and by 1875, 90% of the student body was black.[6] The University of South Carolina holds the distinction of being the only state university in the South to admit and grant degrees to black students during Reconstruction. When the Democrats regained control of the state legislature in 1876, they quickly acted to end admission of blacks, closing the University on June 7, 1877 by a joint resolution of the General Assembly. They passed legislation authorizing only white students and setting up Claflin College as the state institution for black students.'

That's fair to bring up because we can compare Reconstruction era USC to Reconstruction era Clemson.

Clemson didn't open until after the reconstruction era.

Neither Clemson or SC desegregated until the 1960s when all universities were forced to do so by the government.

Hey so you get my point.

When making an argument that Clemson is in some aspect better than USC you can't criticize how USC handled something at a time when Clemson didn't exist. It's irrelevant.

Well I guess you can, because you tried, but it's really stupid.

It'd be like comparing tanks and saying that the Sherman is a better tank than the Abrams because the Sherman helped beat Hitler.

He edits like 3/4 of his posts. It's annoying as frick because he'll add even more bullshite you'd like to respond to and then either have to edit yourself or double reply and by the time you've handled that he's edited a third time either adding more stuff or completely changing what he said originally.

SC has buildings named after General Wade Hampton and Strom Thurmond.
