You shouldn’t try and deflect here. This is about Alabama. Nobody has any idea if Notre Dame or Miami would have beaten Georgia that day. It’s all hypothetical. We know that y’all got your asses handed to you. That’s the point
Both those teams were sitting at home.
Maybe don't lose 2 games on shitty schedules is the right answer.

I’m not debating whether those teams should be in, though. The OP asked why Bama has a reason to not be in. There’s a difference

What they don't seem to realize is Alabama getting in is actually a good sign for their teams moving forward.
“Hey guys, they did it for Alabama. They’ll do it for us in the same scenario!”
TideSaint. What a maroon.

To say a team doesn't belong is to also say there are other teams who belong ahead of them.
All I know about Notre Dame is they played 2 good teams all year, lost to both. If Alabama had finished the season played the #85 and #95 teams in FEI, we'd probably look pretty fricking awesome as well. We only played 2 such teams all year long and won them 73-0 and 56-0. The next easiest team on the Alabama schedule was #58 Wisconsin, which Alabama beat 38-14.
Every other team Alabama played this year ranked in the top 35 in power rankings. Alabama is the only team in the playoffs to play a strength of schedule(#4) ranked in the top10.
Anyone saying Notre Dame or Miami should be in over Alabama simply doesn't know shite about football or they are biased to the point they are forced to say stupid shite.

Alabama got screwed by AQ teams just last year for the same reason, so I don't know why you are pretending Alabama gets special treatment.

You didn't even make it to the game.
Which means nothing. The game should have been aTm and Georgia. 'Bama did not deserve to be in that game anyway.

Alabama was the #1 seed.

They did not get blown out by a 5-7 team either... or lose three games.

Off topic, but I wonder if LSU fans will be rooting for Bama tonight.
Another loss to OU might send Deboer running to Ann Arbor, which might promptly be met with Kiffin to Alabama.

Florida St is ranked #31 in FEI power rankings if you ever decide to upgrade your understanding of teams beyond their record.
But I'm not holding my breathe.

They would've played better than that...that's for sure.

Again, that means nothing except the SEC needs to change its rules.
aTm is clearly the better team with one loss vrs 'Bama with two loses. Both have one conference loss. aTm lost to the team that beat the team that beat 'Bama.
aTm also did not get blown out by a 5-7 team.
Congregates on being the #1 seed in the SEC championship ... you certainly earned it.

I think Miami or Notre Dame would have had more than 0 rushing yards.
I think Cristobal would run it himself to avoid that.
Negative rushing yards would look incredible coming against an OL guru

What an illogical construct. Now that we know Bama can't, shouldn't another deserving foe be permitted to try?
And FWIW, I hope you gumps pants zero U tonight.
