TN Fans.. Bama or Georgia

If you are told that you can only win the Bama OR the Georgia regular season game this year; which one are you picking?
1) End the streak vs Bama and try to sneak in the back door to the playoffs. Helps with recruiting too..
or
2) Beat Georgia and hope that you get a rematch with Bama in Atlanta.

Bama, duh. We have no business winning the SEC this year so I have no desire to lose in the SECCG.

I don't think it is going to happen but could you imagine if Bama/UTn went 1-1 vs each other in Knoxville and then Atlanta, and then met in the finals? 3 games in one year. That is possible, albeit unlikely.

while I'm sure the feeling woudl be sweeter by beating bama opposed to us, a win over UGA pretty much guarantees you win the east. I don't see how you could logically turn down a free pass to the SECCG.

I would agree with that. I hate Bama but beat UGA and we will play Bama again most likely in the championship. I would choose that option
But what if we beat bama, lose to UGA in a close one, and back door into the playoffs? It’s worth considering depending on what your ultimate goal is.

I had them both down as a loss at the beginning of the season, so beating either would be so much more than I thought possible 2 months ago.
That being said...while it would be better for positioning in the division to beat Georgia...I'm old school...and I would rather have a win over Bama. I remember the days of Johnny Majors choking against Bryant and Curry...on the TSIO.
Teams I would like to beat:
1. Bama
2-12. Everyone else on the schedule.

that is not very likely and would be 100% dependent on waht the other P5 champs do. It is possible but would require a ton of help from others and plain dumb luck.
If you beat UGA, even with a loss to bama the only way you arent' 60 minutes from an SEC title is if you lose to one of kentucky/mizz/sc/vandy whihc seems nearly impossibloe.
If I were a UT fan, considering the last 2 decades, I think I'd take the east crown adn SECCG appearance (first time this century) over the "maybe/posisbly/hopefully/potentiailly could backdoor into the playoffs with a ton of help" option.
