TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon was flagged for a touchdown celebration in the Crimson Tide's 49-42 victory over Texas A&M.

Yeldon released the following statement on Monday:

“I want to apologize to everyone for my selfish actions on Saturday," Yeldon said. "That is not the way I want to represent myself, my family and our team. That is not the way we do things at Alabama. This is something that I will learn from, and I will use better judgment in the future.”

Yeah TJ that was pretty selfish for fumbling...how dare you. I forgive you though...now get over here and give me a hug.

Probably. Yeldon had a very tumultuous offseason. Can't seem to stay out of the spotlight with his partying, autographs, blowing off camps. The kid can't seem to stay out of his own way. He is always an attention seeker.

If history is any indication, Reuben Foster will be releasing the exact same statement next year.

He owed his team an apology, that's it.

Anyone got a GIF of Saban "congratulating" him when he hit the sideline?

Whatever. He was hating on JFF. I think it was awesome. If the team voted for him to apolgize, it was Saban's idea not theirs. Saban would not have benched anyone in that game unless they started a fight. The game had national championship implications.

I thought bama was handling the JFF stuff well until Yeldon pulled that stunt. Saban had been talking about doing things with class and we thought we were seeing a great comparison between class and JFF anticks. After what Yeldon did, we now know they were just words.
