I hope all of you have a safe trip down first and foremost. Here is a non-all encompassing list of things to do and see before and after the game.

1) Gallette's for a Yellow Hammer

2) Big Bad Wolf BBQ nachos on the Strip

3) If you come before Saturday, head to Northport and eat at City Cafe

4) Go to the Corner Store on Bryant and get a Coke with "Corner ice"

5) Head to the Bryant Museum and check out the 1964 AP trophy awarded to the National Championship winning University of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Other UA fans, feel free to add...

They can have Jager Bombs at Egan's or Dixie, but leave Gallettes/Rooftop/Houndstooth to the locals

This sounds hokey but one of my best experiences in Tuscaloosa for LSU game in 2009 was talking with the older female fans at a couple tailgates. I kicked up a convo b/c I noticed they were all wearing an Elephant pendent around their necks. Apparently that's a tradition for the female fans to pass down as heirlooms. Their tradition and fan dedication is second to none. I suggest getting a few stories about olden days of tailgating and games from older fans. Interesting to me.
Houndstooth was a great place post game to party with mixed bunch.

You're right.

Y'all lost to Texas.
We didn't lose to Texas or any other team.

Pretty straight forward.

If you don't have time, or don't feel like eating lunch at a restaurant, there's some pretty good tailgate places on the quad. Last year I sometimes grabbed Applebee's boneless wings and cheese fries and took them back to the tent.
