They had best not. That is the mascot for the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Surprisingly for a state with a low population Arkansas has more universities then you can shake a stick at. Which includes the fighting Boll Weevils.
We had the fighting Squirrels for one of our High school teams before that school district got consolidated. Our school for the hearing impaired are named the Deaf Leopards (predating Deff Leppard I might add).
It time for Ole Miss to offend a new minority though. The Ole Miss Illegal Aliens. Change the school song to "La Cucaracha". Swap out the cold chicken fingers for Taco bell mystery meat tacos.
They can milk that for a few years and then come up with a way to insult Asians. Its right in their wheelhouse.

I think they should embrace their recent culture and opt for a giant cartoon-like bag of cash (like a huge Monopoly piece) as their mascot. He could hop along the sideline and throw out Monopoly money and KKK leaflets.
