Well, now we've got ourselves a predicament. ITAT posters want a boycott of the sponsors, and bamamag posters are wanting a boycott of the sponsors who did back out.

They did not close any stores because of the boycott, but it hurt their business. The bammers are not going to close down the BHM News either.

will shut down the Bham news. You can find better writers at OANOW and the Tuscaloosa News online. The Bham news has sucked for a long time.

Tom Arenburg. I heard that spin job when he went on the Finebaum show to reply to the boycott. That was in one day. Again, boycotts are stupid, no matter which side is doing it. Love the way you're so invested though that you're lying about the efforts on one side, while touting the other side.

According to this place.. LINK The show will air as scheduled.

quote:

Will air Wednesday night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST. this info comes directly from the station in response to my email inquiry. They provided me with the sponsors who had pulled out not just from the show, but the station since they play the show. The only sponsors who have pulled advertising from 97.7 due to their airing the Redfish & Moore show are as follows (boycott these guys and let them know why you are doing so): 1). New Life Art- Kind of a surprise sine Daniel Moore's business is mostly Alabama fans. https://newlifeart.com/ 2). Action Sports Art- https://actionsportsart.com/ 3). SportsMed- https://www.sportsmedalabama.com/ 4). Bentley Buick Cadillac- https://www.bentleygm.com/ Email from the station which clearly explains these sponsors pulled their support of 97.7 FM due to their playing the Redfish & Moore show: From: kileighc@977thezone.com <kileighc@977thezone.com> Subject: Re: 97.7 The Zone | Contact Date: Monday, March 7, 2011, 1:00 PM No, the show has not been pulled from the air. If you would like to boycott the sponsors who have cancelled with us because of this show: New Life Art, Action Sports Art, SportsMed and Bentley Cadillac.

Don't know how you would dispell it.. Nixon tried... Bottom line, they closed a store in Montgomery.. Someone said the economy. That ad was stupid and hurt there business.

bullshite - That Montgomery store closed because it was in an area that was becoming "Ghetto", and due to the fact that the neighborHood was becoming unsafe, it was also apparent that the residents were not at the financial level to afford Bromberg's fine jewelry. Add in the fact that no less than three fine jewelers opened stores in the affluent East Montgomery market....... There were several reasons why Bromberg shut the doors - that ad was not the reason.

Yes but it does not stop a thing. Now the boycott is going the other way. Scott did two shows today I think.
