Tim Tebow ranks Spencer Rattler as one of the top QB's in college football!

This comes as no suprise to me, as QB's tend to know QB's.

I don’t understand how a QB on a more talented team in a Lincoln Riley offense, with an easier schedule is all of a sudden going to light up the SEC and be one of the best QBs in college football when he couldn’t do it there.

Well, when your coach sets you up to fail then you fail. Riley wanted to get Caleb Williams in and the only way to do it is to bench your qb. I watched every play last year and play calls were sketchy as frick.
Long taking plays with no short outlets and closest receiver 30 yards downfield. All 3 on same side of field. Spencer is not the scrambling type qb and it caused pressure on a young oline. This forced him to make some bad passes in those cases.
I won’t go into all the details but go look up some game film. And he still had a high completion rate.
With a competent coach and staff he should excel. He will face some tough defenses but with better playcalling he can sling the ball.
Spencer did not lise a game last year yet never saw field again as starter. Caleb Williams had 2 losses as teams figured him out they rushed 3 and dopped 8. Now teams have film on him.
No idea how far Spencer can go but he got a raw deal. He knows the HC and has his TE Stogner as well. I’ll be checking him out this year to confirm what I saw last year.

Last stats from last year:
CW: 136/211 passing for 64.5%. Last 3 games were 50.0, 44.4 and 51.3. Got progressively worse as teams figured him out.
SR: 140/187 passing for 74.9%. Guy can throw the ball.

Spencer Rattler isn't good enough to carry a team but if you put some weapons around him he can really do some damage. The Stogner kid from OU is going to help as well. He is a damn good jump ball type of tight end. He is kind of a poor man's Tyler Eifert and he has pretty good chemistry with Rattler.
Really looking forward to seeing how they do in the SEC.

The saltiness of the OU fans toward Riley is something. He went from best coach ever to being terrible by leaving for a better job.
