Best thing that happened to them. Saban has proven to be susceptible to the changes in flow and playcalling that a back-up or new starter he hadn't game planned agaisnt for months/weeks.

Yeah the backup QB who completed 37% of his passes and had 5 turnovers was the best move for Texas lmao

You can’t even make up how fricking idiotic some Alabama fans are

The backup QB was a highly rated recruit. Even higher than Cart McCry if I remember correctly. I may be wrong - there's been so much squandered talent in Austin it can be hard to keep track ...

Funnily enough, I agree with this. However, it should be self-evident. Florida, talent-wise, had the advantage going into that game. However, they did not have the drive they had possessed the year prior. You could see it in how Florida slept walk in multiple games that season, from the LSU game to the Arkansas game. In hindsight, you definitely could see that arse whooping coming a mile away.

And the year before, with a much bigger talent advantage, if not for a facemasking call (the right call) on a crucial 3rd down, Bama may win that one, too.

One of the greatest things about that game is the opening kickoff. Julio absolutely decleats someone on a block.

8:30 to watch Julio crush a Gator

Yep we didn’t have an answer to Tebow’s package that night. Probably would have won were it not for him. Program went to hell after that
