I think we need to keep in mind that Brando said "the best team on paper". We all know about Nutts collapses when he is met with expectaions. I agree that Ole Miss is the best team on "Paper" in the west, but we all know how many wins that will get you during the year.

I personally think Ole Miss is heading into a perfect storm for an epic collapse with the high expectations and now the reality show cameras. To quote the literary genious Mike Tyson....."Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth".

So Nutt is a better game-day coach then Meyer and Saban...Seems I've heard that before

Dude, with all due respect, it is utterly impossible for any Arky fan to be objective about Houston Nutt.....and I think you know that.....

I'm hoping I'll be able to go to the Memphis game. I won't see another game until Alabama. Yeah though, you're from Georgia, how is Atlanta in early December?

Who should we ask then? Because very few would disagree with me...

With all due respect of course...

I think you could argue that the guy has been inconsistent.....but when were expectations at Arkansas that high during his tenure? Did I miss something?

Bama is gonna be awesome. A fleece should be sufficient unless youre a pussy. Then bring a heavy coat and tampons.

And if we hadn't lost a starting Nose Tackle, the 2nd half would have been entirely like the first half. It works both ways.

So....the injury to your starting Nose Tackle was the reason why Bama couldn't score in the second half?.....

....who knew..

face it...our defense is what started clicking in the second half of that game....And hardy reinjured his foot early in that game as well and he still kept playing.

Your offense didn't score hardly until he went down. I was just making the point.. IF... it can be done both ways to infinity and it doesn't change the outcome.

I don't think they would, not as a game-day coach....now if you are talking about the whole package, including recruiting, then no, I don't think he is Saban's equal

If you ask most other coaches, though, they will tell you that he is damn hard to coach against when it comes to X's and O's.....

If we played the first half like we did the second half, it would have been an entirely different ball game.

And if we had played yall like we did the rest of the season the game would have been over in the 3rd quarter.

Alabama and LSU are going to be the biggest games I've seen in Oxford by a long shot. I can't wait.

agreed.....but Ole Miss was playing much better football in the last 1/3 of the season than Bama.

Another IF....

If our "future star" running back Enrique Davis....Mr. "I don't want to go to Auburn because they only have a 60 yd IPF. I want to practice my 80 yd touchdowns" wouldn't have run out of steam on the first play of the game, It would have been a different story as well. Seriously though.....you make that kind of statement during recruiting.....and you run out of steam on the first play of the game?!?!!?!?!?

I would say the Bowl game. I think if yall had played Florida in the SEC CG, it wouldn't have been much different. Bama was leading that halfway into the 4th quarter before Fl came on. I don't think OM would have won that and possibly could have lost by more. Just an opinion.

Probably not, Alabama played a hell of a game. Depth got the best of y'all in the 4th. Same thing would have happened to us, if not worse.

Most would agree that head coaches don't make their money on game day.......it is what leads up to game day that proves a coaches worth.

fwiw.. I just disagree with the statement about last year. For this year...

I personally think yall have the edge to win the west as it is. Yall will have a good defense, and as it is now.. the best QB. Should be a great year.

IMO, Ole Miss is so good that anything less than a BCS Bowl would be a travesty. Ole Miss is heads and shoulders above anyone in the West and deserve to be #3 in some polls.
