I guess you could say:
we're hiring a new system president and chancellor, let them get the guys they want.
But unless they really thought someone like Kiffin was in play and Florida might scoop him up (or god forbid, Saban somehow gave the impression he would steal 20 mil a year to disappoint us with his retired efforts), I don't see a reason to cash out midseason. We're not competing with Penn State for coaches (or shouldn't be), those are different circles.
Nothing about today gives me any hope they have someone lined up. Or even that it will be a solid national search.
