Well, I'll admit it because I'm a realist. That's why when people start the LSU v. UF argument for better decade I just call it a push. We had 1 more SECC and the same amount of NC, but UF had way more shitty years.

no, I'm bring serious. no one fricking remembers Zook was even UF's coach outside of the league. People remember greatness and forget mediocrity. When I think Florida I think the Tebow says and Spurrier

5. Vandy

Lets see... Auburn has 3 SECCG appearances, 2 SEC Championships, and 1 BCS Championship in that period. bammer has 2 SECCG appearances, 1 SEC Championship, and 1 BCS Championship in that same period.

So, using OBJECTIVE criteria, why would Auburn be Tier 2 but bammer Tier 1? Auburn as Tier 2 is a fair judgement compared to the championships both LSU and UF won in 2000-2010... but NOT if bammer is somehow Tier 1.

Because when he started the thread, he did not specify 2000-2010

No way you can say Bama>Barn in the 2000's. I'd say it's a push at best.

How could it be a push when Auburn has more championships than they do in that period? As well as more undefeated seasons?

The #1 thing they remember about 2003 is that USC got left out.

and dipshit did it in 2007

And that LSU was the worst, least deserving champion since the game's inception.

I don't care what people remember about Auburn in 2004, that was the most dominant team in the SEC this decade and in the immortal words of Herm Edwards "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME".

Really? Were you guys that bad under Zook? LSU was not very good in 2000, 2002, 2008, 2009.

And just who the hell was more deserving in 2007? If I recall correctly, every team had 2 losses or more that year. Who deserved it more than LSU? Who was better than them?

If it wasnt for Auburns 2004 season the SEC would not have been in the driver seat for the NC every year.

That's the whole point, nobody just "deserves" to be put in the game. Especially not a team that has two terrible losses. That's why the BCS is bullshite. You can't just arbitrarily throw two teams in the game out of a collection of teams with the same records when all you have is random bias and often uneducated opinions to differentiate between them. I certainly have infinite more amount of respect for a team that wins all of its game than a team that loses, especially when they lose multiple times to very average teams. Even more especially when one of those losses is at home in the last game of the season.

True, but he did not change his post when he changed his subject... so I assumed he meant that the post was still accurate for that time period in his opinion.

When I think of the SEC, I think of these schools first.

LSU, Alabama, Auburn, UF, UT and UGA

These 6 schools are the foundation of the SEC.

In my mind, all other schools are 2nd tier

Fair? Well, it's true...just the way it is..
As a fan of a team not mentioned above, I actually agree. There is a large division between these 6 teams and the bottom 6 as far as success goes.

Maybe we should claim UF (2) and LSU (1)championships!
