• The end of this weekend’s series will mark the midway point of the regular season SEC schedule. Georgia enters the fifth week of SEC play with a one-game lead over Texas in the SEC standings.

• SEC teams entering the week ranked No. 1 statistically in the NCAA include:
» Florida with 7 shutouts
» Georgia with 93 home runs and .633 SLG pct.
» Auburn with a 4.42 strikeout-to-walk ratio, 1.09
WHIP and fewest walks allowed/nine innings (2.59)
» Auburn’s Jake Marciano with a 0.68 WHIP.

• The top-10 national attendance leaders in attendance this season are all from the SEC. LSU leads the nation in total attendance (255,315), while Mississippi State is first in average attendance (11,560). Other SEC schools ranked in the top-10 are Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Texas A&M and Auburn.

• A total of 86 baseball players from current Southeastern Conference universities are listed on 2026 Major League Baseball Opening Day rosters. Twenty-nine Major League clubs had at least one former SEC player on the Opening Day roster. Florida has 12 former players on MLB rosters, while LSU has 11 and Vanderbilt as eight.

it's always great to hear the Gamecock Radio Network broadcast the game from a media booth that doesn't have a view of the first base dugout or right field at the true SEC baseball gem otherwise known as Taylor Stadium

LSU yes, Auburn looks like they have some tough teams as well. Finishing at A&M, at MSU and home vs Georgia in their last 3 series.
