he has some serious issues with repeating his mechanics pitch to ptich. Mavrick Rizy has the same problem. Elite stuff but you never know where the ball is going

Cam Johnson is an enigma. His stuff is off the charts. Looked like he finally figured it out the first month of the season.

First 4 weekends: 21.1 IP, 32 Ks, 5 BBs, 7 R

And now we're back to where we've been the last 2 seasons:

Last 2 weekends: 3.2 IP, 4 Ks, 12 BB, 8 R

I bet he still gets drafted pretty highly with his raw talent but good lord

He looked like a pro until last week. He made it further pitching good this season than last. But I’m not sure going so high in draft. Someone will take a flyer but he reverted back to last year.

This was an important outing to show last week was an off night. Then he did it again. Maybe its playing his old team. We sure need him this year. My guess if he flames out Mercurious will take his spot. Ironically you will face the other Mercurious tomorrow.

Cam is a good dude. But he has to get past his mental issues because the talent is off the charts. But he’s showing he can’t be trusted and that won’t sit well with MLB.

There was only 1 earned run scored by both teams combined until B7. Crazy

We've been waiting for it. Evans was a stud late last year, so you knew it was coming.

I have no doubt he will. He reminds me of Thatcher Hurd for us. Hurd was a fricking head case but had insane stuff. When he was on, he looked unhittable. He still went in the 3rd round despite basically getting shelved his last year at LSU. If an MLB franchise can fix Cam's mechanics and consistency, he's going to be a very good big leaguer one day

People who actually watched Evans last year should really not be surprised if he finds it. He has a consistency issue right now, but when he’s on he’s legitimately one of the best in the conference.

Yeah who would have thought that a preseason AA who had a 2.05 ERA as a true freshman in 52 innings last year would figure it out after a rough couple outings in March.

He absolutely shut down a supposedly good OU lineup

Good game. But lots of errors.

Back at it tomorrow and we need to get some bats, thats 2 games in a row they were silent. Credit to LSU pitcher he was on one tonight.

You face the other Mercurius Friday night. Xander is who relieved Cam tonight and he’s a true freshman. He saved our bullpen with his great innings.

Even though 8 runs were scored all pitchers helped their ERA since only 3 were earned (all 3 by LSU).
