They are the worst fan base in Texas. I mean at least Texas has the past and A&M and Baylor have had some recent success, Tech just isn't good.

Look at the entrance requirements. TCU and SMU are easier to get into than Tech is. I legitimately knew a guy that made a 16 on his ACT that got into TCU.

Tech is harder to get into because of public tuition vs. private tuition, and TCU doesn't have much of an academic reputation.

Typically, most A&M fans will express that Tech has a classless fan base and is typically known as the students who couldn't get into tu or A&M, or if they wanted to goto a private school SMU, Baylor etc.
I'll admit their obnoxious manners and antics can rustle the jimmies right quick if you let it get to you. Just understand that it's nothing personal, being what they are Tech fans are typically the defiant type who try to create as much noise as possible to whoever will listen.
I will admit that I gained some respect for Tech during our transition to the SEC, as I think it has been discussed previously on this thread. Also they told the sips and ESPN to go frick each other at the same time when they tried to force Tech into playing on the LHN against the longhorns.
Rumor is ESPN threatened to decrease Tech's long-term priority/chances of being in a national broadcast on the ESPN network if they did not accept the LHN's terms. Tech called their bluff by refusing to deal with the LHN and ESPN let it slide.
So again, I wouldn't take their poor manners and obnoxiousness personally. They just want to be acknowledged.

Fixed, but that goes for many private schools. I know someone with straight C grades that got in Southwestern because his two sisters went there and they knew doctor daddy could pay.
