it's amazing to see that things are still like this in 2011 in one of the most progressive cities in Mississippi. As for being around black kids. MRA has a few black students two of whom started in basketball. Using the excuse "I don't want my kids around Black people so I send them to MRA" may be the most idiotic comment ever.
What do these parents think happens after HS? Do they think their kids will be sheltered from Black People in college an in the work force.
Idiot rackets here in Mississippi are the most narrow minded people I've ever been around in my life. The fact is 90% of these folks send their kids to academies for the reason DC Reb mentioned.

And it frustrates me too. WTF are some of these parents thinking. I can understand a parent shelling out coin to send their kids to Prep or St. Andrews (which, academically, are incredible) but MRA? Come on.
