Fairhope is no nicer than the old Historic Vicksburg or downtown Natchez. Come to King's Tavern in Natchez and drink at the same bar they drank at in the 1760's.

And yes. I have been to Fairhope. We used to go through on our way back from Orange Beach to Mobile. If you like really overpriced steamer food served by ambiguously gay people in a town stuck in the 50's then I guess Fairhope is that kind of town.
