Ok so we're, close in all categories and dead even in the categories that matter?

0 National
1 Conference

at least our 1 was an SEC title.

In a conference you've been in for more than 23 years? Grats. We were an independent from the early 70's to early 90's.

You have no excuse, as an SEC team, to be behind us. We spent 20+ years as an independent with shitty facilities, no recruiting advantage, no television advantage, nothing. Yet...

What makes you think the smallest public school from the poorest state in the conference didn't have the same issues?
South Carolina has always had more money than State, apparently we can just do more with less.

What part of "We weren't in a fricking conference for 20+ years" is hard to grasp?

We were surrounded by ACC and SEC schools. You had TWENTY YEARS to gain an advantage on us. Yet we passed you. Sad little MSU. Face it, your ceiling is MUCH shorter than ours. You pretty much just said it.

What's been the sentiment on the Muschamp hiring?

It's shitty, but he has the energy and recruiting we're looking for. Let's hope he learned how to coach in a very short time.

you gotta feel like it's a ole miss bringing in Nutt type of hire. The only good thing is he does have the HC experience and I'm not sold on Smart, Butch, McElwain as being anything great yet.

State's +6 in SEC wins over USC in Prescott's final 2 seasons at QB which coincided with Carolina's first 2 seasons post-Connor Shaw. we'll see where things go in 2016 with both schools starting new QBs.

saw a thread about 20 year progress on here earlier...was gonna tie this in to it but I'm sure all 14 fanbases will find their way in here at some point.

here's your trends/movement in overall standings since 1992 expansion...SEC REGULAR season games only - no SECCG or BCSCG and yes Alabama - your *vacates/forfeits are included.

move your timeline to Clinton's first term and you handcuff us . we beat WVU NYD 1995 in Miami after the 1994 season.

MSU/USC should have remained paired cross-division in 2002 when the 5-1-2 format was cut. ARK/UK had more in common with hoops. MSU/USC had baseball that would have helped continue grow the football series interest. MSU/UK had played just 19 football games before 1992. fast-forward to 2014 and USC now has an Outpost school somewhere near Snook TX half a continent away from Cola.

The fact we are in the SEC is the point shite head. In any other conference State would occasionally contend and definitely would be a winning program.

With the resources and facilities you acquired/built in the SEC. We could do the same thing now, but if both schools were in another conference they wouldn't be as well off as they are now. Shithead.

Yeah, I'll take state in this one.

Muschamp will sneak up on someone, just not someone from the Wesr.

Yeah, State will probably win. I don't have high hopes for the season. I started off optimistic, but eh. I just can't get behind Muschamp. Yet, I hope.

If MSU can't beat South Carolina at home, who are they going to beat? Has to be the easiest game on the Bulldogs' schedule this year, aside from the non-conference patsies.
