Miami is underwhelming but Sparty is trying to build something in year 2 under Mel Tucker. It actually could be interesting which team shows out.

Yea they have really looked good so far. It’s fun seeing programs build momentum. The winner ought to end up having a pretty solid season

OK-Nebraska

This one is good in name only.

It will not be a close game. Nebraska is a dying shell of what it once was

Looking at how we have played in our first two games, this entire season will be interesting

Part of the problem is that too many SEC teams are in the gutter right now. From a UGA perspective, having an 8 game SEC schedule plus Two P5 OOC games, pretty much every weekend should be interesting. But it's not.

USC sucks
Tenn sucks
Vandy sucks
GT sucks
UAB is out of their league
Charleston So is out of their league

There's half the schedule. Going 9 game and P5 OOC doesn't fix much. In fact, Going 9 game schedule makes it harder to get those P5's on the schedule because there's less flexibility in the schedule, without going to 13 games, in which case, you'd still end up with plenty of snoozers.

This makes zero sense.

Yeah, let's make it easier...by keeping these cupcakes around. Participation trophy checks for smaller schools. That's the ticket

So by expanding the playoffs teams will stop playing cupcakes? Wouldn't expanding the playoffs encourage teams to schedule easier opponents since SoS wouldn't matter as much with more teams making the playoffs?

Something else to consider, as a Bama fan.. yeah alot of the season probably is pretty boring to you, that's a side effect of extreme success, I guess.

There are millions of other CFB fans that are excited AF to watch their mediocre team play another mediocre team, or even a lesser team to get last week's bad taste out of their mouth.

Weekends that the game slate looks bad are usually the best weekends. Tend to be a lot of upsets.

Maybe the smaller schools shouldn't be fielding programs if their lifelines are subsidized scrimmages (er, I mean, "games") with bigger schools.

But this is the oh-so-great/sacred regular season the anti-playoff expansion ppl love to try to protect

There is the Muschamp factor. We're about to lose 70-10 and I guarantee they won't stop talking about Muschamp as he relates to SC.

frick all of you that think I should just be grateful that there is football on. Boring football is the same as no football. When there is an obvious solution to improve the quality of competition and entertainment, and it's not done, then that's bullshite.
