The best thing they could ever do for the college game is to get rid of the block/charge call all together. It would open the lane up and lead to more scoring, plus you’d get rid of that crappy defense from the OP. Not to mention when it’s happening at the speed that college athletes play, it’s a complete guess by the refs.
Player control fouls and push offs are generally pretty obvious and should be the only offensive fouls that remain - for a guy with the ball. Moving screens, etc. are necessary as well

Clear and obvious charge.

Getting beat off the dribble, then jumping to a spot and falling backwards is never a charge. Refs are so focused on the stupid restricted area that they are missing horrendous blocks...and yes Jaylin Williams is the worst
Find me some, if any, charges that Jaylin takes that resembles this? I won’t deny he probably got some calls this season that were iffy but sometimes y’all comment like you haven’t even watched him play and just want to join in the bitching because he gets calls and is a good defender.

Jaylin just does what everyone else does. The only difference is that he does it more.
But I don't disagree with you. Players often get away with shuffling their feet in today's game and Jaylin is no different. You had to be set well in advance 25 years ago, however.
Although I don't like it, I just figure that it's ambiguous today, like most is with basketball now.
