They're good because they play on turf.

Normal SEC powers LSU, Miss State, Vandy and Florida are down some. Hillbillies have taken advantage. Long way to Omaha....

Congrats to UT.

You need to give the other fella credit when they're doing a great job.

And I’m not arguing that. But 2/3 of your starting lineup are upperclassmen. I get there are young players who have contributed, again, not arguing that.

Just because there are younger players on the team, doesn’t mean “it’s a young team”. There will always be younger players. But that’s not where the majority of the production comes from. The majority comes from the starting lineup and yours is a majority upperclassmen

Yeah, the team can pitch, hit in the clutch, hit more not in the clutch, and keep hitting when hitting is not needed. Yesterday was a fine example when Auburn was starting to crow a bit and Tennessee went apeshit with the bats. Damn!

AGAIN….. and I’ll try to spell it out for you this time.

I AM NOT ARGUING THAT THE UNDERCLASSMEN HAVE NOT CONTRIBUTED OR ARE NOT GOOD.

My point is that y’all keep classifying this as a young team. When the majority of your lineup and production is upperclassmen, you can’t say that.

Are there some really good underclassmen that have produced? Absolutely. They’ve been awesome. They’re going to be good for the next few years. But referring to THIS team as young, is being disingenuous when you consider that 2/3 of the lineup is juniors and grads.

Tennessee has plenty of HS talent. Beck is from a town that sits on the border of AL/TN.

Just because there are some young players on the team, doesn't mean they are a young team, and it doesn't scream rebuild either like some have been claiming. Especially after the season they had last year.

Gtfo. This is Tennessee baseball…a program that hasn’t ever really won anything. The entire program has been a rebuild.

We’ve all heard over the last few years how Tennessee is winning meaningless games, talk to me in June, terrible program with terrible facilities, etc…so now the “Tennessee should be good after last year” falls a little flat.

The scary thing is this is a very young team relatively speaking.

Agreed. The program HAS been a rebuild. But the year after you make it to Omaha and return the talent they did, is no longer considered a rebuild. That’s what I was referring to. Posters referring to THIS year specifically as a rebuilding year. It’s not.

They are very hot and nothing short of a Natty is a let down. But a big ball park in Omaha can neutralize things quickly

As we saw last year, a big park will even things up.
