We won't be as experienced on D but we do have a lot of players that have logged time coming back.Younger but maybe even more talented.

On offense we will have a senior QB, Julio Jones,Marquis Maze,Mark Ingram,Trent Richardson all coming back we should be very good on this side of the ball.

Schedule is tougher and not nearly as favorable it will be extremely hard to do what we did this year but I do believe we will once again be the favorite to win the SEC West.

the key isn't specific players, but Saban himself. He develops players like nobody's business. While Ro is VERY special, he will steadily arm himself with the likes of Donte' and (insert name).

Watching Bama in the SECCG was a thing of football beauty.......it was an erie validation to the changed landscape. LSU has ground to cover with a leader who is solid, but incapable of matching up. We will compete, but the dominance is gone........

Next year will truly define where we are. JJ will have experience, the defense will be fully under Chavis' watch (1 season under their belt), and a favorable schedule. No excuses.

Today, Bama is (and looks to be) the class of the SEC.

The SEC landscape is changing very fast. It always looks like you can repeat and keep winning year after year when you have a big win like Bama did last night. The SEC is going to be highly competitive like we've never seen before in the coming years.

at LSU, when saban had his players for 4 yrs, he produced the worst team in his tenure. just sayin' this concept of his players being magically annointed is a myth; a myth that is based in ignorance of football and a myth that simply won't die. a perfect example is that a player that was simply recruited by saban, spent one year as a redshirt is now sabans player and ALL success he has in his 4 playing yrs is ALL due to saban and any failures he has is due to the new coach. using that logic, ALL players at bama currently , except freshman and sophs are shulas players. you don't hear that now do you? this concept makes me sick.

This is my point. I dont care who all they are losing. In year two he won the SEC at lsu, then the NC in year 4. All of this with his eyes on eventually getting a pro job.

Year two at 'bama he won the west and ran into a UF team on a silly type of roll. Year three he has them in the NC game. Newsflash: they have not lost a regular season game in two years, stayed competitive against UF last year when UF looked pretty much like it would kill anyone and destroyed a UF team that, to me, was one of the better teams this decade from the SEC. I ain't saying the guy is perfect, but I cannot think of any other person I would want coaching my team.

To the guy that said Saban did not get to coach his most talented roster. I 100% agree. Does any rational LSU or Alabama fan think that if Saban never left that it would not have been LSU that you would have been watching on Saturday rather than Alabama?

In the admission thread, I said that LSU fans' fear of when Saban took the Alabama job was coming true. Guess what, it has, and, no, LSU granddad, it is not a myth. Open your eyes.

ETA: After seeing Saturday's games, I did get a feeling that LSU is a better team than I thought. Alabama did not play an especially terrible game vs. LSU and yet LSU was leading for most of the game. The gap between LSU and Bama is not huge, but I am afraid that the gap will widen quickly should something not change, and fast.

At any major university where there is strong support for football, specifically one where he is given everything he requests, he would build a great program.
Makes it clear...when it comes to Saban, it
is the COACH, not the SCHOOL

I honestly think we will have a better team next year than we do right now.

we may be a better(more talented) team next yr but no way we go unscathed next yr. Plus if we win it they wont be as hungry

I think Florida this year was as good or better than last years team. I think the hunger thing may have gottem, and that's what's hard to avoid. Also, to win the NCG, you have to get some breaks during the season. It's tough to get them 2 years in a row, another reason why it's so hard to win back to back, IMO.
